Mission Statement: The Central Church of Christ Youth Ministry aspires to teach, reinforce, encourage, and strengthen Christian youth in God’s word, thereby equipping our children with biblical principals that are relevant to our children’s spiritual development as pertaining to everyday life issues. The goals of the Central Church of Christ Youth Ministry encompass:
1. Building a biblically based environment for the youth that is reflective and consistent with the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday bible classes
2. Empowering our youth to become leaders/servants within the church and their communities by:
• Creating and providing venues for our children to demonstrate their talents
• Coaching and mentoring our youth for improvement, cultivating them to teach others
• Creating an environment for our children to step outside their comfort zone and make a positive impression upon their peers
• Teaching our youth to reach back and encourage others
• Providing biblical solutions (in a knowledge-sharing environment) for life’s experiences and problems.
Values/Objectives:
1. Integrity: To uphold the highest personal and professional standards of conduct and ethics, treating everyone with fairness and respect in a Christ-like manner.
2. Teamwork: To develop skills, strengths, differences, and creativity while building upon each other’s contributions as we achieve an effective and efficient biblical support team that edifies Christ and the ministry.
3. Quality: To excel in every aspect of our work; recognizing the impact of errors, we strive to do things right.
4. Commitment; To provide a Christ-like foundation to our youth by doing the right things, even when the choices are difficult and the outcomes uncertain.
5. Accountability: To value the contribution of each individual to the success of the mission and we take responsibility for our actions and learn from them.
6. Support the mission: To strive constantly to anticipate the youth’s changing needs and to develop new ways to meet those needs in accordance with the scriptures.
